Cat5e, cat6 1000ft, cat6 bulk.
These CAT6 terminators are too wide to fit in Cable Matters blank 24 port patch panel. Not a big deal for me because I only needed 8 ports so every jack has a blank next to it. Other than that surprise I am very pleased with the purchase. NOTE: I didn't research these connectors, just assumed Cable Matters jacks fit Cable Matters patch panel.
I have used several different brands of keystone jacks in the past, but I like these the best. They are constructed very well and are quite sturdy. My only advice is don't use a cheap punch-down tool. Spend the money on a quality product.
These were a pleasure to work with. I love the dust cover that also acts is a nice strain relief to the cable when pushing the completed jack back into the junction box.
works great but easier if you have a punch down tool but if you take your time you can do it with out its just easier since the wires are so small
Best value for the money. I love these good quality for the money. Very easy to use with a punch down tool.
These keystones have worked perfectly for my home network so far. Omitted from the description is that a punch-down "puck" or stand is included. There is no need to buy one separately. All you will need is a punch down tool.
I bought this pack while rewiring my house and adding in media connections. Overall these are an excellent keystones for making CAT6 connections. The labeling on the side is easily visible and very clear making for easy connections. I think the price is just right too at about $1 each compared to coax and HDMI keystones that can run $5-8 each! The small plastic cover plates they included, intended to protect the wires after installation, is a prime example of a half baked after-thought. They are poor fitting and too flimsy to be worth using. This however is a small nag because the important part is the keystone connector itself and that is a quality part. Instead, I used electrical tape, rolled in reverse to the adhesive doesn't get all over the keystone and the wires but still keeps dust out.Its a nice addition that they now include the punch down holder...when I purchased this was not included. It can be a bit tricky to hold the keystone firmly while trying to use a punch down tool, so hopefully the included holder helps there.
Great jacks. Works well and comes with a handy plastic install base to hold the jack while you punch down the wires.
It works good I have it connected to my smart TV my ps3, ps4 all works fine great buy for the price
I purchased five short cables in different colors and received five short cables in perfect working order. Not sure what else needs to be said.
These cables are great. The connector snaps in place providing a secure connection. After multiple connects and disconnects the latching plastic tang did not break, like the ones these are replacing. I would recommend these cables to a friend.
The lenght is ideal but the stiffnes of each cable makes conformity difficult they did allow me to make a cleaner installation
The package says 5 - 3 feet cables but the contents of the package are 5 - 1 foot cables. Amazon and Cable Matters need to fix this
it is soft and easy to manipulate. Hope there a two-feed version.
These are high-quality cables and you just can't beat the price. And, the different colors make it super easy to keep track of the different connections in my home theater. The local Big Box retailer wanted this much money for one cable (and they wonder why they are loosing customers!).
I needed some shorter cables to tidy up my work space. This 5 pack of 3 ft. cables fit the situation perfectly. I got rid of a bunch of extra cable and the colors make finding the proper connection in my router and switch very easy. Cat6 maintains full throughput.
I pulled this cable in my new construction house before drywall and heat. Inside temp was aprox 20 degrees and the cable jacket would wear thin and sometimes crack around corners and bends. This was also me taking my time and going slow. Even in warmer weather I feel the jacket on the cable is to thin kinks/wear spots on the jacket will always happen. Choose a more durable cable next time...
Bought for sending HDMI signals via cat 6; Cable boxed for easy pulling without kinking and creating rats nest of wire. A tad stiff but seems like most of the cat6 is; The flexable plastic center "cross" to separate the four pairs creates a minor challenge to work around when tipping, but just snip it off and go on with business. Belkin is worth the extra cost from the cheaper cables. The saying you get what you pay for it very true in wiring. Highly recommend.
I ran 2000 feet worth of Belkin cat6 cable at my office and not a single issue even when pulling on the cable through some tight spaces. No issues with find colors on each wire, they were pretty clear.
It definitely fits and works as stated, although thinner than other cable This is what I think and i need 16 words to rate it
After going cheap-side with Monoprice's Cat 5E solid CMP ( B00AJHD3RG) never again ( all that was decent for were temp runs and patch cables).I decided to force the issue and say no to going cheap-side again as it was a big time and integrity waster.Skylite Communications offered a promising alternative to a bad experience. I ordered 2 boxes of Cat6 CMP solid cable hoping at least the jacket would be thicker and that it would have a spline support. The 2 boxes arrived inside of a packing box,( shipping done right ), and on time. I checked the cable quality and the jacket, spline, wires and colors were all good.Running these up in the plenum space was MUCH easier than expected, the runs held up well and tolerated pulls, bends scrapes and DID NOT SNAG. Cutting and punch-downs were clean and snug.I have no problem with purchasing from this source again or using this cable.
easy pull and doesn't kink.
The quality of this cat6a cable is amazing. I had only used UTP cable until this purchase and I now see that I was missing out. The cable is thick, nearly the size of coax cable. Each twisted pair is individually shielded, while each shield is separated with stranded shielding. The 23 gauge twisted pairs are tough and do not easily break. Despite the toughness, they are still flexible and are easy to handle. The packaging for the cable was superb. The spool arrived via UPS in a box that contained another box with the spool inside. The wooden spool has not given me any splinters and is not flimsy.Cable runs are fairly heavy and bulky due to the thick gauged wire and shielding. Make sure you allocate enough room for your runs. To compliment this cable, I would recommend that you purchase shielded connector ends and snagless boots to remove the strain on the end of the connector.**NOTE! - Make sure you purchase cat6a connectors and boots if you purchase this cable. Cat5e ends and boots will not fit!Prior to installation, I had issues with inconsistent data transfer speeds due to interference from neighboring cables. Once replaced with this cat6a cable, all speeds were consistent at max network throughput. Also, shipping was very quick. I received my product 2 days after it left the warehouse. It took a total of five days to receive the package, but I had chose the free shipping, which delayed processing.Overall I am extremely satisfied with the product and would recommend it to anyone looking to run quality cable through their home or business.
I bought 4 rolls for a RF unfriendly project I am working on and it works well. This is really solid cable. The box weighs around 37 lbs (for reference 1000 ft Cat6 unshielded weighs about 20 lbs) and the cable is exactly as advertised. Also the product came in 2 days.I would buy this cable from Cable Matters again if I needed CAT6 shielded. That's it not much more to be said about cable.
I was looking for a top quality shielded cat6a cable suitable for long runs. This was an excellent choice. Heavier than what you will find elsewhere (23 AWG vs the typical 24). In-wall rated. Each of the four twisted pairs are foil shielded and there is a mesh outer shield. Top quality, excellent value.
Excellent quality. Even more so excellent price for the amount of cable. Easy to measure as well. Great cable, would buy again when I run out.
I think this was the best price I'd seen on 1k' of Cat6a. I ran it to every room in my house when it was under construction. Shielded connectors, works pretty good! Of course I'm only running gigabit LAN right now because to my knowledge there's not anything faster on the consumer market. But...I ran it looking to the future, when 10GB/s LAN comes out, this stuff is supposed to be ready.
I bought this cable to wire an outdoor IP POE surveillance camera. The cable arrived quickly and exactly as described. My run to the camera was about 150 feet. The camera runs flawlessly, and I'm currently working on replacing my old CAT 5 cable with this. Very good product, very fast, no problems at all.
I needed a cable to run from our router/switch setup in the living room to our bedroom so my wife's laptop had a hardline rather than wireless (can't expect her to raid in Warcraft with iffy wireless!). I ran this around a couple doors and down a hallway and it was flexible enough to install very easily and works flawlessly.
I just recently purchased a new router to handle all my wireless and hardwired devices and wanted to change those old CAT5 cables I had. I had no issues with the cables, everything worked fine, they all say CAT6e on the cable it self and the length is good. Once you got them in it may be difficult to take them out, the clip holding them is strong which I really like, it doesn't feel cheap like other cables I have own before. Would recommend to anyone!
This is a well made cable for high data speeds. No issues found with any of the ones I bought.
Great prices and cable was exactly what I needed. The item shipped fast and was packaged extremely well. I would buy cable from this vendor again..
This cable does everything I'd expect from a cable, and it worked great right out of the package with no set-up required. It's sturdy, attaches well and smoothly to the computer, and is easy to recoil when necessary to tuck out of the way. This cable provides fast, reliable, secure internet access and is the perfect accessory for anyone seeking to reduce electrosmog or excess EMF in their home and office. Highly recommended!
These cables are good quality and they do work, my only problem is, if you need to dis-connect them bring a sledgehammer, because they are darn near impossible to get unplugged after you plug them in. Other then that, they look and work great.
they are cables and they work. i haven't done extensive testing against other cables types, but they do the trick. using a verizon router.
It was exactly what I needed to allow me to use my laptop on my lap in the living room when the hard-wired internet "plug" is in the next room.
I have a LOT of Ethernet capable devices in my home theater 'rat's nest' of cables, and an eight-port gigabit switch distributing Internet access to them. To help with the sorting of cables, I also have a professional type cable marker (Dymo RhinoPro 5000). Despite having the great labeling on each end of every cable back there, the colors are an even easier and quicker way to trace cables.I also have a couple of dedicated desktop computers and a Home Server computer in my home office, so there are Ethernet cable confusions there as well. Rhino labels and colored cables are once again the best solution to locating the appropriate cables back where access is limited.I wish here were similar sets of cables with even more color combinations, such as contrasting color stripes to help with the cable mazes behind home theaters and computer desks. These cables, being CAT6, provide a bit of "future proof" speed advantage over CAT5E, at a very tiny higher cost. The cables all work just fine, are flexible enough for almost any application, and are a handy length for most crowded applications, such as a home theater. If you do have rats' nests of cables, I'd also recommend the Dymo Rhino labelers. I've had mine for several years now, and every time I get a new gadget/device, I label the cables, and especially the little "wall warts", and their connectors... the power supplies for phones, pads, cameras, GPS's, etc.
The colors help to keep the maze of devices in an ethernet splitter in some order. The secure 'SNAP' of the connector is really the only reason to use Cable Matters cables. If the connector doesn't work properly I'm wasting my time installing one.
Cables of good quality with thick robust cord and good connections, unlike some cheapy patch cables that come with routers and similar equipment.
The cables came fast and that is one thing I really appreciate. As far as rating the product they cables work great and that's about it.
I ordered this which is supposed to be 1/2 foot cables. What I got are 3 foot cables. Now the hassle of repackaging it, getting a return label from amazon. Buying shipping tape. Then taking it a UPS outlet to ship it. When I figure the time involved, gas & tape; It's just not worth it.The next time I'm @ Home Depot, I'll just buy some ends & shorten these. I would get 5 cables from 1 of these with some cable left over.
The snag-less design of the clip is a must for me as all other designs seem to break after use, always at an inconvenient time. Color coding of my patch cables helps me with my spaghetti factory of a network. The Cat-6 designation is probably overkill for such a short distance but a nice plus. My entire system is CAT 6 so, for what its worth....
As described. Delivered on time. Good construction.
High quality cables. I chose the colored ones to make things easier behind my entertainment center. BD Player, AV Receiver, DirecTV, TV and Game Console. These have the snag less design so when you pull them through a bunch of other wiring, they don't hang up. You have to be pretty deliberate to disengage them from a device. All five worked perfectly, gigabit devices as well as fast ethernet devices. Very satisfied and would buy additional cabling from Cable Matters.
