- Category 6a (Augmented Category 6) is defined at higher frequencies than Cat6. Cable Matters Cat6a SSTP Patch Cable is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).

Ethernet Cables... Woooo...Aaron Smetana
The product here is Ethernet cables. I bought Cat6 for future upgrade-ability. I can not validate that the cable can throughput 10 Gbit, but I can validate the connector shows the gauge of the cables inside match what I would expect from a Cat6 cable.What a review, am I right?Well, I have ordered probably 15 or so cables thus far from Cable Matters on Amazon. I have returned two for having poorly terminated ends. I returned a 50 foot cable that barely had any contact with one of the pins (all were NOWHERE near flush). Other than that experience, all of the other cables have great terminated ends. Keep an eye out!Quality of material: 5/5Build quality: 4/5Cost and product value: 4/5
