- Our cables are made of 100% bare copper wire as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat6 communications cables. Our Cat6 patch and bulk cables are used by data centers around the world.

Network cabling is a commodity. They are cheap, widely available and perform their well defined reliably for the most part.So, what sets a cable apart? For me it is how the connectors and boots are constructed. Especially the anti-snag design. Cable Matters does a great job with that. The anti-snag works well and can be pushed out of the way so the release can be pressed in tight spaces.It is possible for the rubber piece to slide *under* the release tab making it very difficult to release if you don't notice. If you do it's very easy to push the rubber tab off the the side and release the cable, so no big deal.I also like the purple color I got. Nice!For taking a step-up on the common commodity these get 5 stars.

I was looking for longer ethernet cables so I could put my router farther away from the printer and saw this 5 pack with various colors besides black. I really like the colored coordinated cables so I don't have to label my cables.
