Description

Intended for Wired Home and Office Networks
- The Category 6 cable is the cable standard for Gigabit Ethernet and other network protocols. A Category 6 Ethernet Patch Cable is also referred to as a Cat6 Network Cable, Cat6 Cable, Cat6 Ethernet Cable, or Cat6 Data/LAN Cable.
- The cable's RJ45 connectors offer universal connectivity to computers and network components, such as routers, switch boxes, network printers, and network attached storage devices.

Built for Future-proof Speed and Reliable Connectivity
- Category 6a (Augmented Category 6) is defined at higher frequencies than Cat6. Cable Matters Cat6a SSTP Patch Cable is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).
- Our cables are made of 100% bare copper wire as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat6a communications cables. Our Cat6 patch and bulk cables are used by data centers around the world.

Double Shielded Construction
- SSTP/SFTP: foiled and screened shielding between individual pairs and four pairs as a whole can prevent electromagnetic interference and boost cable performance.

5 out of 5 stars Quality Cable
kev2011

Seems like high quality, wires are tight in the sleeve. Looks exactly as pictured here on Amazon. Used it for several days, no problems and has improved my speeds compared to my unshielded CAT6 cable I used to use. Connector is not loose or larger than it should be; fits in the port well. Used it to wire part of my house for Ethernet (just ran it in the ceiling and under the molding from the basement). Wireless isn't good enough to access use the data on my network drives.

4 out of 5 stars Works great, but very thin cable and plastic covering
Blue

I can't tell a noticeable speed difference, but this item seems to work as described. My only concern is that the cord (and apparently the plastic covering) is very thin. It is nearly impossible not to crimp or bend this cable by simply moving it around. These bends do not come out when you straighten the cable. I can't tell if this has in any way affected the functionality, but it seems too delicate to last very long.

3 out of 5 stars Didn't improve interference over UTP cable
N. DiPasquale

I purchased a DVI to Cat6 extender Iogear GVE200 DVI-D CAT5e/6 Mini Extender (Black) to use for a 50 foot run in my house. Unfortunately, with a standard UTP Cat6 cable I could only get my monitor up to 640x480 resolution at the most, and with considerable interference artifacts (pink sections of monitor and 'sparkles'). Since the product does ask for STP cable to ensure the best connection, I assumed that this might help the problem. However, I saw the exact same results with this cable, which either means that this cable did not prevent any more interference than the UTP cable and the adapter was the source of the poor connection (most likely), or I received a bad STP cable that was still susceptible to interference.I understand that I'm not using this cable in a 'standard' way, but I wanted to report my experiences with it, which was no different than with a UTP cable. While this cable may make a difference in certain situations, I won't be spending the extra money for shielded cables that may or may not be an improvement over unshielded.

5 out of 5 stars Works as they should!

Perfect CAT6 cable and I use in my home network setup. Nothing negative to say, highly recommended, NO issues what so ever on build of cable or connection.

4 out of 5 stars Good deal

The cable will kink if you are not careful. The longer the cable the higher probability of twisting and kinking. Cable was used for smart TV, computer, Roku and Playstation. All are working as expected. The cable was ran through walls and under crawl spaces and... So far, no issue with installed ethernet.

Good build quality - not much more to say about it. Worth what I paid for it, connections are solid and appear to be quality.
