- Category 6a (Augmented Category 6) is defined at higher frequencies than Cat6. Cable Matters Cat6a SSTP Patch Cable is suitable for 10BASE-T, 100BASE-TX (Fast Ethernet), 1000BASE-T / 1000BASE-TX (Gigabit Ethernet) and 10GBASE-T (10-Gigabit Ethernet).
- Our cables are made of 100% bare copper wire as opposed to copper clad aluminum (CCA) wire, therefore fully compliant with UL Code 444, which require pure bare copper wire in Cat6a communications cables. Our Cat6 patch and bulk cables are used by data centers around the world.

LOW COST, HIGH QUALITYDareDevil
I was very very very very very surprised that for the price I paid I got a high quality Cat6a cable and 100ft of it. It hasn't had any problems and with testing my ping and jitter compared to my old Cat5e it seems to be slightly better but who knows if it didn't have to do with the time of day and whatnot. But the thing is I paid only a few bucks more for a higher quality cable.As for how long it lasts? I am not sure as it is only a month into my purchase. I do have it hung on the exterior of my house and where I live I get A LOTTTTTT of sun (hawaii). But for the price of an exterior/underground cable I might as well have bought this one because the price of the others would allow me to have this one fail and be replaced over 5 times for the same price.
