I ordered this product and received cheap looking, light weight and thin cable in a package with the designation "CAT5e" printed on the package. Unlike the picture the cable was NOT stamped with any specs. Before I ordered from this company (beware they also do business under the name importer520)I had never actually seen ethernet cable that was unstamped. Suspiciously, there was a sticker on the package stating that it was CAT6 cable, but since I have ordered many cables (CAT5e and CAT6) before it was obvious to me this is NOT CAT6 cable.Accordingly, I have tried to contact the seller to return this cable and they have been uncooperative. The seller information on Amazon indicates that Cmple or Importer520's products are returnable. Despite my several email requests they have not provided a return authorization number. Per their request I even provided a picture of the cable that I received. If you want a poor quality product, when paying for a high quality product, and no customer service or support then order from Cmple or Importer520

1 out of 5 stars very crappy cable!

I bought this cable about two months ago. It worked intermittently for a while (it would cut in and out- NOT GOOD FOR STREAMING VIDEO). After about a month the brittle outer casing began to crack and separate and one of the ends separated from the plug because the cheap plastic casing was falling apart. I kept using it anyway, because it was all I had and it sorta worked, well today it no longer works at all. So I went to a local store and picked up a better quality cable for about $35. The one I bought today is only cat5e not cat6 but surprisingly works much better and seems to be faster than the supposed cat6 from cimple. I would steer clear of this piece of junk. It wont last very long and it doesn't work very well. I would invest a little more money and get something that will last and do what it is supposed to. bottom line, you get what you pay for.

What I ordered and what I got were very different things. I got Cat5e cable by the spec on the sheeth. The picture AND description shows. Again Are you paying attention SELLER? The picture and description shows: Cat6 cable, Strain relief connectors, Anti snag connectors. It took numerous emails to the seller to try to remedy the situation. No luck. They just dont have a clue. Broken English emails. Poorly worded. Not answering your questions. WOWAmazon stepped in and refunded my money. So to sum it up I got cat5e with regular cheap connectors. I wonder if it was actually 100 feet.BUYER BEWARE >>>>>> Rip Off

1 out of 5 stars wow! HORRIBLE!

I was amazed at how BAD this product was. It was a joke, who makes ethernet cable out of anything but copper? The quality was on par with price, meaning the quality was absolutely the lowest out there. The wire is made out of very thinly stranded metal, and it is not copper. It's some kind of silver metal, who know what. It had about 3-4 strands per wire. Absolutely the worst wire I've ever seen in my life, and I do this for a living! On the outside this cable makes every attempt to look as profesional as possible but don't be fooled. Only buy this if you are not serious about your connectivity requirements. You'd definitely be better off going wireless.

Was extremely cheap quality cable. While unrolling it, I discovered several kinks in the cable. Was not stamped/certified. Worked fine when I tested it, but after running it through the walls, and several hours of diagnosing it, discovered that the solid blue wire had broken while pulling it. Luckily, the run was less than 50 ft, so I tried again with the other half, this time, being as gentle as possible. Exact same problem (solid blue). I had a 10 foot piece left over, and tested it, also broken on the solid blue wire, meaning that it had broken in at least three places. Ran a 15 year old cat 5 cable I had laying around, and it worked the first time. Since I cut the cable, I can't return it. You get what you pay for it. I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Well, what can I write about something I never got? First, the seller accepted my payment and even sent a message informing me about sending the cables but the next day he changed his mind and cancelled the deal with no explanations. At least, he sent me a refund. I contacted the seller asking to explain what went wrong but he never cared to write back.

1 out of 5 stars The cable had cuts

LAN cable had cuts in between when I received this on...cut means the blue coating was cut by a knife..but it worked and solved my needs.

For the price, this cat6 cable can not be beat. 100ft is plenty long enough for my needs. I bought this cable because the WiFi on my PS3 kept cutting out every time the cordless phone rang. I now get no interference and can play online all day without any troubles. The reason I docked it one star is because there is no protection of the lever thingy on the tips and it snagged easy and nearly tore off while running the cable. The cable I got didn't have the protectors like the picture shows. But if you're going to plug it up and leave it, that's no problem. Could wear out and break off with repeated removal and installation though.
