Description

Get the most out of your Ethernet network with Sewell bulk Cat6 cable. This Cat6 CCA cable is perfect for creating up to a 10 gigabit network in your home or office (10GBASE-T), and will also support gigabit networks (1000BASE-T), Fast Ethernet (100BASE-Tx), and 10BASE-T. It meets Cat6 specifications of 250mhz without the expensive price tag of pure copper. Check out comprehensive Fluke testing and specs in this PDF. For more information about CCA, check out this article.
Benefits of Cat6

While Cat5e does support gigabit network speeds, it has more problems with crosstalk and system noise. Cat5e and Cat6 cable are made up of 4 twisted pairs of conductors that are wrapped around each other. Crosstalk refers to the interference that happens between these twisted pairs. System noise is the interference from the surrounding environment. This usually comes in the form of electromagnetic interference (EMI), which can come from power lines, fluorescent lights, microwaves, etc. Cat6 cables have a thicker gauge that protects against interference and gives you much better signal quality. Because of this Cat6 cable is rapidly becoming the new standard for Ethernet networks.
CM Rated Jacket

CM refers to the jacket rating. Cables are required to be made from flame resistant materials to ensure safety. These cables are safe for all in-wall applications.

5 out of 5 stars Cat 6 Cable

Good product. Easy to work with and the wire doesn't break when you look at it wrong. So happy with it I just bought two more boxes. I'm very new to running my own cable and making my own patch cables that I didn't realize that all cables are not created equal. The previous purchase was not cheap but I couldn't even remove the jacket without at least one twisted pair getting damaged.....I thought it was my inexperience.. Well using the same tools I never once cut into the wires while removing the jacket and the cable itself is better looking too.

5 out of 5 stars Solid cable. I recommend this stuff!

Very nice cable. Each pair is twisted appropriately, the shielding both on the individual wires and on the cable fits snugly and solidly, and the cable is easy to work with.I had no problems working with this cable to wire up the segments I needed and testing the cables showed solid signal transmission. This was a delight compared to the previous stuff I had tried. I would recommend this to anyone looking to wiring their own patch cables or run their own lines.

5 out of 5 stars Super Value

Met all my expectations. Great price for a reasonable amount of cable. Didn't need a 1000ft so this was perfect.

5 out of 5 stars This cable is as advertised.

It's cable, it's blue and it's what I wanted. No problems so far. It is reasonably priced and arrived on time.

4 out of 5 stars which is not bad, and I think the source machine is the ...

Switch via 3' cat 6 patch cable to patch panel jack via 40' of this to remote wall jack via 25' cat6 cable to computer, solid gigabit. Ran a robocopy script and got actual average throughput of 540 Mbps, which is not bad, and I think the source machine is the bottleneck. Ran another test from a faster drive on that source computer and the speed hit 700 Mbps, still likely bottlenecked at the source. It definitely heavier than my cat5e, and thicker wires, and with a star-shaped rubbery support core.
